about

hi, i’m samantha!

Hi, I’m Samantha, a graphic designer and marketer based in Vancouver.

I have always had an inclination towards graphic design ever since I was young; as someone who grew up with a father who is a graphic designer and engineer, and a mother who was an artist and a banker, exercising my creative brain was never an issue. I’ve continued doing this throughout my life as I made my way into a marketing world filled with creative strategies and out-of-the-box thinking.

As a Marketing Management student and now a BBA student at BCIT, I’m constantly surrounded by knowledge I want to access. My goal is to work in an environment that allows me to learn, develop, and grow—not only in skill but as a person as well.

While I love creating visually stunning designs and crafting marketing strategies, that’s only part of my world. When I’m not busy with work, I’m usually out exploring new restaurants as a foodie in Vancouver, binge-watching dramas and comedies on Netflix, or dragging my friends along to do all those things with me. I also love a good hike and really any kind of travel adventure.

I love trying new things and finding that balance between creativity and fun. If you're looking for someone who brings passion, creativity, and strategic thinking to the table, let’s connect! I’m always excited to take on new challenges and would love to discuss how we can work together.

  • I’ve been a graphic designer for years, with over 12 years of experience using Adobe Photoshop and other art and photo manipulating software. My expertise spans across branding, logo creation, social media content, and print design. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients to create visual solutions that align with their brand identity and marketing goals in order to reach their desired success.

Whether it’s developing a complete brand guide or designing compelling visuals for digital campaigns, I bring both technical proficiency and a creative vision to every project.

  • As a Marketing Coordinator at the Gastown Business Society (GBIS), I took on a variety of responsibilities that allowed me to sharpen my marketing skills. I managed the organization’s social media presence, from creating and filming engaging content to scheduling posts across multiple platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. I also handled email marketing campaigns, ensuring our messages reached the right audience at the right time.

In addition, I played a key role in communications and copywriting for social media posts and for the website blog, crafting compelling content that resonated with our community and supported our overall marketing objectives.

  • In my leadership roles within the BCIT Marketing Association (BCITMA), I had the opportunity to manage and guide teams of students on several major projects.

As the creative team lead in creating an integrated marketing campaign for the Wall Street Journal, I directed the development of a cohesive and compelling creative strategy that aligned with the campaign’s objectives.

Additionally, as the Director of External Communications, I managed a team responsible for overseeing all external communications from the BCITMA, ensuring that our messaging was clear, consistent, and aligned with our brand.

These experiences honed my project management skills, allowing me to lead teams efficiently and deliver impactful results.
